Song of the Week

In my opinion, I believe this song to be worthy of at least one entire listen.
Karma Police by Radiohead. Album OK computer.
Until next time my loyal readers.

Fav Movie of the Week

Of the movies I've seen this week, I decided to compile them into one big list and then pick the best one and present to you, my loyal readers.
And the contestants are:
  • I Am Legend
  • Juno
  • National Treasure: Book of Secrets
  • Atonement
And the winner is!
Juno!!!
And my reasoning is as follows.
I am Legend was nice, but as far as zombie movies go, it had all been done before, and IaL didn't bring anything new to the table.
I would like to say that Atonement was indeed a very enjoyable movie, the kind of which I have seen few before and I will enjoy watching it again.
And National Treasure was more of a child's movie that was mis-advertised as being a great action adventure flick. It was a shame too considering how much I liked the first one.
Until next time my loyal readers.

Movie Review: National Treasure

Among other movies that I saw this week, I watched National Treasure. In case your unfamiliar with the movie, let me recap. Nicolas Cage plays a treasure hunter that goes out to defend his great grandfather's name by finding a great treasure with a few of his helpful friends. It was enjoyable, but I wouldn't want to see it again. Let me go into detail.
The plot of this movie was crippling. It lacked development and threw in non-stop action in order to compensate. The motive was uninspired and quite limiting to the rest of the film. If they had had a decent reason to find treasure, then the writers would have been able to create a much more engaging story line.
The film wasn't the most beautiful, but it had some respectable scenes that I thought looked gorgeous.
There wasn't anything particularly awful about the acting, but again, the cheesiness of treasure hunting kicks in an takes over even the best actors.

Overall I would not recommend this movie to anyone unless they would be looking for a child's movie filled with predictable content.

NOTE: I have never written a movie review before, and if you should read this, a comment about something I did well of didn't do well would be appreciated.

First Post Ever On Kersplatt Industrial Blogging

Well, the masses of people have spoken, and they want to know me.
Well, to know me, you need to know things about me. No addresses or things like that, but like taste in music. Lately I have been listening to the following:
 Artist. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Album
  • Radiohead. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ok Computer
  • The Whitest Boy Alive. . . . . . Dreams
  • Gorillaz. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . D-Sides
  • Franz Ferdinand. . . . . . . . . . . Franz Ferdinand (Special Edition)
And some other stuff I recently got but haven'
t listened to yet:
  • Badly Drawn Boy. . . . . . . . . . . The Hour of the Bewilderbeast
  • Pixies. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Surfer Rosa
  • Elliot Smith. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Figure 8
I would have more, but I haven't gotten much lately, so thats it.

My main attraction is that I just got a brand new Macbook.
I've never had a Mac before, and I'm really loving Leopard. It's fantastic so much to the point that it grinds the previous OS X into the dirt. I think one of my main loves of it is the iSight. I really haven't used it for more than funny pictures yet, but rest assured it will bring some video logging later on.
My other favorite thing about it is definitely the simplicity. Everything just works on a Mac. Nothing stalls up because I plug in my iPod, and quicktime works seamlessly, even with windows media player files. I'm having alot of fun mixing videos and browsing teh intrenetz.
I also got the compete series of Planet Earth for Christmas, so I have enjoyed watching those and ripping them to my iPod using Handbrake.
Overall the Macbook is the shit. Quite simply there is no other terminology that can so easily state its greatness.

Overall, I'm not sure what the purpose of this blog will be, but I do intend to post further posts, so I figure I'll just do whatever I feel like. Daily Drama, Pictures, VLogs mebbe, fav Movies, and Other.
I'm leaving it open ended for right now.
